Okay, mea culpa – new discovery about podcasting, servers, and WordPress: it will only generate enclosures for mp3 files that have no spaces in the title. I created files with spaces “hit test 1” and nothing would happen. “hittest1” created an automatic enclosure.
Mystery solved. I have grown in geekness due to my error and will be a better podcaster for it.
