Welcome to the home of the Wired Jesus Podcast. In the next few weeks, you will see a few dry runs at what will be a regular podcast exploring the spiritual journey as it is lived out in the wired world – on the net, in film, in song, where ever questions of faith, life and meaning are being asked. While there are others in the podcasting world who are doing bible studies, sermons, and inspiritational shows, my focus is going to be searching for places where people can discuss openly their beliefs and find where really creative discussions of spirituality are going on.
All you have to do is look around- in forums, blogs, and podcasts, people are talking about God, Jesus, world religions – a searching for spiritual discussions and starting points but not having much use for the modern/boomer ways of doing it. Rather than churches and organized religion, most of us – most of you if you have found this page – go to the net, a certain googling for God approach. And so we explore on the net all kinds of religious traditions, ask every kind of question that we are told is unacceptable or blasphemous in church, because here we find an open community for the spiritual journey, with no one caring where you are at or what you say, only caring that you are here.
At least that is my approach with Wired Jesus. So don’t expect to find church here. Don’t even expect answers. Like Jesus, I just plan to wander the wired world, meet people where they are, listen to what they say, and then share in the stories of the spiritual life. I’m a pastor, part of the Lutheran tribe for those of you who know the Christian denominational lingo, so I am a Christian but, if you will come along for awhile, you’ll I’m just a little weird in my walk, hopefully in a way you will find helpful and different.
So, more details to come: a more detailed into on me, some upcoming show topics to give you a better idea of where I’m headed, and the opportunity for you to participate to make Wired Jesus a unique place and community.

So now that I have navigated back to the fisrt pod-blog entry i see the following statement of what this show is about:
“Like Jesus, I just plan to wander the wired world, meet people where they are, listen to what they say, and then share in the stories of the spiritual life.”
I’m not hearing much in the sense of how Jesus went to where people were, listened to what they said, and then told them the truth of God’s word. I encourage you to do so, instead of just disseminating blasé talk when i believe people are looking for answers you can direct them to the one who has them. There’s truth, and then there’s talk…
