I planned on posting this Thursday but got sidetracked until tonight. Welcome To Ginkworld is an introduction to the christian postmodern site ginkworld.net, my current homepage when I boot up Firefox. I also take a little time to reflect on how there are few places in the church to ask the tough questions of belief and unbelief without being labeled as in appropriate or a troublemaker. Ginkworld and Wired Jesus are two places where you are welcome to ask away.

Like I mention in the podcast, next week is Holy Week and Easter, the high festival days of the Christian Church and hell week for pastors (literally and symbolically – take your pick), so I will be lucky to get one podcast off. Check in here for updates and watch your Ipodder for the next podcast.

Also, wired jesus is now on podcast alley, so if you would like to vote for us, just search for our entry and hit vote.

Lastly, thanks for all the comments, emails, and passing on the podcast to your friends. keep passing the good word on.

    Hi Tom –

Well, this was the first podcast I’ve ever listened to (after Adam’s promo). Since I produce audio programming — fulltime — , am exploring new ways to distribute it (we work primarily with radiodrama).

I enjoyed your pre-Holy Week message.

  2. Tom… I really liked what you have done here. Great Job. This was the first opportunity I had to hook up with the podcast and this is great. The way you took me through the ginkworld site was very helpful. I found Ginkworld to be a very interesting place and plan to visit it often.

As an aside… I did something quite different during this Lenten season. Rather than do the traditional soup dinner and worship thing, which makes for a stressfull season (my emphasis) and takes away from being focused for your Sunday message time. I desided to do our normal soup dinner, and instead of a worship time we just had conversation around the topic of “Spiriuality”. I aranged our tables so that we all faced each other and I asked questions. What we did… and I think Luther would have been proud… was have “Table Talk”. It turned out to be a great experience. We talked about all kinds of spiritual questions that probaly would have never been talked about. It help me for Sunday preaching as well because I used the same themes. Our folks helped me prepare their own message. It was great. One of the more profound comments was, “Can we continue to have these dinners and conversations?” WOW can you imagine!!! So I am going to try and figure out how to pull it off.

Don’t work to hard during this Holy Week
